A recent addition to Mid America's operating fleet is the former Southern Pacific coach Golden Shore. Built in 1954, the Golden Shore features 56 reclining coach seats and seatback tables. The Golden Shore retains much of its original Southern Pacific character while incorporating ADA accessible doors, seating, and restroom facilities, as well as advanced mechanical and operating systems. Painted and lettered in its original Southern Pacific scheme, the Golden Shore exhibits a reverence for its railroading past as well as an embrace of today's mechanical advances. |
